Each Time We Say Goodbye Book Review

Here in New Hampshire the weather is just starting to show signs of the bitter cold winter and what a great time to curl up in front of the wood stove with a good book on a lazy Sunday. If you have been looking for a page turning work of fiction, full of adversity, love, and courage, I may just know the book for you. My talented mom, Pamela, just wrote and self published her first novel Each Time We Say Goodbye.

I won’t give too much away because I’d love for you to read it but I’ll give my synopsis of the book as a bit of a carrot if you will.

The story begins with a young woman named Thea Marchant. She couldn’t believe her good fortune when she was given a new car and landed a job where she could be herself and enjoy her newly found freedom to the fullest. As Thea is enjoying her independence, in walks, handsome and worldly, Michael Chamberlin — into her heart and into her life. Michael is a bit of a troubled soul but it’s hard for Thea to see this at first – she is smitten! After matrimony they move to a small town in Maine and have 3 children together, Jessica, Peter and Izzie. Thea’s children are her light through what becomes some very dark days. This is at the point in the novel where the plot really thickens and new people enter into Thea’s life for better or for worse. Thea’s remarkable children are there for her every step of the way even though some of her decisions disrupt and alter their lives forever.

This story is a page turner and full of suspense and surprise. You just don’t know what will happen next to the characters and just when you think you know what may happen it takes a turn.

The printed and e-book versions are available on Amazon. The printed version is also available on Barnes & Noble.

Each Time We Say Goodbye is the first book in a trilogy. The second, A Scary Kind of Honesty, will be launched in the New Year and the third is a work in progress.
