We are happy to announce a new website for Star Island Corporation! Star Island is one of the islands that comprises the Isles of Shoals of the coast of New Hampshire and Maine. Since the 19th Century, artists, writers, and people looking for escape have visited the island and the grand Oceanic Hotel. Star Island Corporation is a Unitarian Universalist Mission in charge of stewarding the island since 1915. They work to maintain an environment which builds community and promotes education and spiritual well-being.
The website was built using the WordPress platform as a Content Management System (CMS). The platform allows them to disseminate information about their many ongoing events and their vast collection of resources and information regarding the island’s services and amenities. A resource oriented site presents its own challenges and it was a lot of fun to come up with a design that organizes their content and makes all this information approachable.
