We have been working towards climbing all 48 of the 4000 footers in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A goal we are 12 mountains away from achieving.<\/p>\n<p>Ok, these trips did come with some discomfort \u2014 fighting off black flies and mosquitoes, long days spent enduring the heat during the peak of summer and let&#8217;s not forget the many physical challenges of hiking in the White Mountains. BUT there was so much scenic beauty it was mind blowing, every challenging step up a giant, craggy, rock was coupled with so many laughs with my lovely husband, our 4-legged companion, Smoky, and sometimes friends. We also had way more good weather days than bad. Overall I have had one of the most fun and creative past few months, in and out of the office, I have had in a really long time.<\/p>\n<p>If you get a chance to unplug and go hiking I highly recommend it.
