Lil’s Café recently opened in Wallingford Square in Kittery, Maine. Not only is the space warm and friendly but the staff is too. And don’t even get me going on the cheddar scones… heavenly!
We had the pleasure of working with some awesome folks on the Lil’s branding and part of this branding effort was the environmental graphics. Our friend, and EGD extraordinaire, Elisa Winter Holben did a great job on the overall signage for 7 Wallingford Square. She worked on the design of the directory, building identification and projecting brackets and panels. We love how the design fits so well with the look of the building. Be Better worked on the design of the vinyl applications for Lil’s and we had a lot of fun working on it. The challenge was to be sure the graphics didn’t cause too much obstruction in the front of the cafe so when folks look outside their view isn’t obstructed but bold enough to catch peoples attention.
Working closely with Eileen Conlon and Michael Landgarten, who are both great folks that have A LOT of restaurant experience, was great. They not only had the community based vision for the café but had the creative vision for a logo that was playful, friendly and approachable.
I hope the logo makes you smile as you go in for your first (or next) cup of Tandem Coffee. Cheers!
